Motivation
When we were deciding whether to take the more traditional route from Alaska into Canada or the detour through Dawson City and the Klondike Hwy, I came across this in the guide book:
That pretty much settled it! Â There is even an airstrip named in honor of these gargantuan cinnamon buns. Â Should be there in a few days, I can’t wait to sink my teeth into one of these things…

Kind of a let down… too much bland bread and not enough gooey cinnamon.
I knew there had to be a REALLY GOOD reason for you to go out of your way in getting to Whitehorse. Hope it meets your expectations!
If that cinnamon roll is only half as good as it looks, it would be well worth the extra pedaling.
Those look yummi; on your way South, check those cinnamon buns in Jake’s Corner (South of Whitehorse) and at Tetsa River Lodge – the latter are advertised via a roadsign “The Cinnamon Center of the Galactic Cluster”. Those should make the Top-3…
